What is chiropractic care? This definition could go on for pages, so we’ll try to keep it brief. Chiropractic means “done with the hands.” Traditionally, a chiropractor uses their hands to treat the joints of the spine with a treatment known as the chiropractic adjustment, or spinal manipulation. Chiropractic has evolved over the years, and today, it is the largest segment of the Complementary and Alternative side of health care. Alternative to what? Alternative to conventional medicine. Today’s chiropractors use conservative and natural (surgery free, drug free) treatments and techniques to treat the entire body, from head to toe, inside to out.

What chiropractic means to us is that we use our philosophy (holistic, comprehensive, natural, and personalized health care) to evaluate our patients. Our evaluations go beyond our patients’ symptoms, and seek to find the underlying causes of their pain or other problems. When necessary this includes spinal manipulation, but also includes rehabilitation, pain relieving modalities, dry needling, massage therapy, education, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, and nutritional supplementation.
